Arrival and welcoming to participants. Families and teachers picked up students and teachers and took them to their “new” homes and hotels. The airport happens to be only ten kilometres from our school.

We started with breaking ice activities.  Two thirds of the students had already met only a few weeks before, but still, it was a great moment to “restart” the excellent relationship that was born in Ladispoli between the Spanish and Italian teams and also for getting to know the new students from Austria. After some fun with the ice-breaking activities, we proceeded to the presentation of projects. All groups did a great job.

For the following classroom immersion, we went to a large park very near the school.  There we held an exciting multisport international competition. Welcome informal lunch at school with “tapas” and chicken paella.

Visit to Cordoba, one of the most beautiful cities in Spain; particularly the mosque is a universal must-see. It was a comfortable trip by coach, it is only about 120 kilometres from Seville.

Our Head of Studies and Art teacher Francisco Padiilla led a very interesting classroom immersion called (Ways of seeing).  The students learned a lot and had a lot of fun.  They all displayed surprising creativity.

After that, we headed to the High performance Centre by the river Guadalquivir. There, and surrounded by élite rowers and canoeists from all over the world, our students practised canoeing in a privileged environment next to the very centre of the city.

Classroom immersion, intercultural Kahoot, with trivia questions as well as more serious stuff about the culture and languages of the three countries, our neighbourhood,  and last but not least, our beloved Erasmus of Rotterdam. Dissemination activity: Visit to primary schools. Both our teenagers and the little kids really enjoyed the experience.

Then the students proceeded to create a week review video. The jury opted for an even-handed decision by giving the first award ex-aequo to the Italian and Austrian teams.

Finally a nice little farewell ceremony with a musical performance by our retired Erasmus teacher until last year, Fernando Hidalgo. Also we proceeded to the handing-in of certificates and later to a barbeque with the students, parents, and teachers, in a great atmosphere of friendship.
